AARP to offer free tax preparation

AARP will once again offer free tax help for the public at the Garland County Library. AARP volunteers will be on hand to give assistance for personal property taxes from February 1st through April 15th. They will be here from 10 am to 2 pm Monday through Saturday and will have evening sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm. They will not do business, rental property, or farm taxes: personal taxes only.

Although this service is offered AT the library, it is not offered BY the library. We are simply lending the space. As such, library employees cannot give tax advice or answer tax-related questions. We cannot take phone calls or messages for the tax assistants, nor can we set up appointments for them. They do this on a first-come, first-served basis.
